Why politics on Lichess?

@The_Illumined No, we don't, but we're getting it shoved down our throats anyway. Preserving the environment is a worthy goal, using it to prop up a political platform is not. Specifically: there are a gazillion initiatives that work (or claim to work) for the environment/climate, but no, they just had to give some more space to this pitiful sham and its media-infesting muppet. The Fridays movement is airy, fashionable, utterly content-free sucker bait for the mentally and/or politically challenged, plain and simple.
There are actually ppl who wonder that in such an active thread, one (!) of the many users reading it was interested to see some of the thread starter's games? *lol*
Please take your conspiracy theories elsewhere. You know nothing about anticheating. Our anticheating data is literally one click away. It takes us, in most cases, under one second to check whether an user is suspicious or not. Usually users are banned for cheating after being reported, sometimes they are automatically banned and sometimes they are banned after a mod discovers them. Do we have the resources to check every single user all day everyday. Prolly not. But we can do our best.

We knew this forum thread would happen. Everytime something new happens some people dislike or disagree with it. That's perfectly fine and expected.
@lovlas There's games from over half a year ago on the list of games that got him banned. If it really takes less than 1 second, he couldn't have been checked in the last 6 months? Not to mention checking anyone over 2000 would only be a fraction of the playerbase to begin with. You're right I don't know much about cheat detection, but just from your description there are only two possibilities. Either there was bias or you guys need to have a better system for checking high-rated users on a regular basis (if it only takes 1 seconds) regardless of reports.

If forum posts and reports are really the only ways cheating comes to light that means there's hundreds of cheaters who go undetected because they don't post on the forum. I would almost it rather be bias than have a site saturated with cheaters.
I agree with @thibault "If we didn't take a stand today, we'd regret it in a few years" So we have to stop now climate zombies (backed silently by pharmaceutical/process food/chemical/bank industries) from removing our freedoms to have a healthy and no pills life. So i am sorry but i have to close my account on lichess. Bye Bye to all.
There are millions of users. Thousands of active users. We don't have a million mods that can manually check every user every day. Which is why we generally rely on reports.
You have to admit that's strange, lovlas, as you said, we know nothing about anticheating, but let us try to understand and feel doubtful.
Can you add a membership status ?
like, you pay 5$, and it grants you access to an ad-free version of lichess.
