The way to learn from mistakes is to note the trends in your mistakes. Are you missing specific tactics? Are you constantly having, your king come under assault and lose? Do you constantly find yourself with a bad opening position? Do you often lose games in the endgame, even when equal or up material? Finding trends in your losses and games in general helps you identify where you need to focus on your chess training, and also what you might want to pay extra attention to in your games.
