Check Mate? Worth More?

when I say points I mean glicko2 of course, but in terms of value of win, loss, resign, draw, Mate should always be the ultimate goal. If you are so clever as to blindside your opponent and catch him with an incredible mate it should be valued more relative to a resigned game (IMHO), Point being is I see way too many cheap games where people try to gain a material advantage, and thats it. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe Mate should be valued more. The point that everyone would resign before mate is moot as it happens already anyway and precisely proves my point. If its valued more its more difficult to achieve, as should be, and both players would be aiming for mate above all else. It might improve the game, as both players will be seeking Mate above all else......
...but the whole point of Glicko2 is that it isn't a sort of points system, but a reflection of the standard of your game play at a given time within a given deviation.

If I lose 8 games in a row, I don't lose "points" because as soon as my play returns to my "normal" standard, so to will my rating.

With due respect, the idea is therefore a nonsense - because what you suggest would only really work if Glicko2 is a points system, and it is not.
Bad idea. This would undermine the integrity of the rating system. The purpose of a rating system is to determine the relative strength among players. Your opponent's ability to foresee your forced checkmate and resign before it occurs demonstrates extremely little about your strength as a player relative to him. He is still losing the game.
