I started getting unsolicited emails from lichess

I only made two changes that might explain this:
1. I was asked to update an email b/c I was OG enough to register without an email. So I added an email to my account, but it's not my main personal email. I've been getting emails to my main personal email address.
2. I'm on the beta team, and I installed the beta app for android on my smartphone. It seems like the emails I'm getting are feedback to new app.

How can I stop these emails? Why am I getting them in the 1st place? How is it possible that I'm getting emails to my main emali account although the email information I provided to lichess is for another email account?

you sure you set it up with the other email and not your personal check:lichess.org/account/email

also lichess.org/account/preferences/notification

Through the website there is no way other than giving your email to get it
through the beta app maybe but then there would be an unsubscribe button in the email

Yes, there is an unsubscribe on the email(s). But wait, there's more:
it appears to be an email from some other user to lichess. that person's email is visible to me. There doesn't seem to be a CC or BCC, but I still received it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that "You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups 'lichess mobile' group."

but can be also that you ve tested and downloaded new App here , so that' s why you were using that your email to regsiter there ,and they testing it

you tested that new App , right in thread over there(lichess.org/forum/team-lichess-beta-testers/mobile-app-alpha), so by registering on it ( I suppose there is email needed to register there) , You used your other email, and they send you message there because of that testing

I signed into the new App using my only lichess account credentials, the one using a completely different gmail acount.
