Announcing Lichess Titled Arena 5

@Allonautilus that would still be horrible. The rule stands 100 people in and one man out. No blood, no glory.

@PArnaudov It's easy to cheat in 1 minute games. Not all cheaters are tarded in their ways to get points no matter the time control. The smart cheaters have built their own systems to do it. Fortunately most of the smart cheaters soon realize they make more money outside chess.
@arex Hmm...I respect your decision but I wish we could convey the donors to make it more distributed. I for some reason feel that well-balanced distribution of prizes leads to more interest among participants.
I agree with #25 @NeverBeenTimid,
Prizes are unbalanced, considering that the probability of winning of this competition by Magnus Carlsen is high,so cashback(3000) is really possible, besides I think that prizes for places 2-5 are to small in my opinion
Relax all complainers. After Magnus doesn't win the prices will go back to being more equally distributed hoooooray.
Prizes are ok. I would take away 4th and 5th place prizes in order to increase 2nd and 3rd :)
I would prefer more evenly distributed prizes, since it seems a bit unfair for the second and third qualified, but a great tourney anyway, hoping to see Magnus once again.
Months from now it'll be...

1st - $10,000 (exagerrated but you get the point)
2nd - $250
etc

Knowing Magnus is going to win and keep donating the money back into first place. This is really dumb.

Then comes a Titled Arena that Magnus isn't going to be playing in and some lucky titled player gonna collect a good fat check all thanks to Magnus. This is really dumb as well.

People in the tournament should really be playing for 2nd place and let Magnus rack up that 1st place prize until it's high enough. That's the smart way to go about it. Few months from now that 1st place check is gonna be a fat one then participants can start to actually play for 1st. Why try win it now and reset the prize pool when you can let Magnus jack up the prize and go for a chance to win it later?
