One thing I cannot figure out is how to disable animations when pieces move. I saw on a few Lichess streams they had no animations, but I haven't found a way to disable them...
Regarding the animations, I have to complain about the castling move. It has a buggy animation :/
NM DrunkTal, there are lots of addons and ways of modifying lichess.org like skins etc

And disabling the animations might be another modification outside the definitions in lichess.org. Because there is nothing in the preferences related with it.

Animations speed up as time remaining goes down. But I agree, I think that an option to disable animations is reasonable.
What is the problem with animation?
I would like to see slower animation like on flyordie.com. Players have more time to think, no rush.
The problem is that people can switch off animation. Then they have more time in bullet.

make the board bigger.
if you want the board bigger, increase the zoom on the website :)
