The Chicago piece set, created by a lichess user (can't remember his name, help!), is a very attractive set that is quite usable. I've used it as my main set on lichess for several weeks now, and I'm very picky about set design usability. I can attest that this design works very well. It's slightly, not overly, decorative, while still easily recognizable and distinguishable (piece-wise). It is very professionally edited.
The author has several other interesting designs (I don't think are quite suited for inclusion just because they are each either a little too decorative or a little less distinctive) that are worth checking out, too, at http://thechessfoundry.com .
No, I have nothing to do with the site or the author (I can't even remember his name). I just think these pieces are the best original ones I've seen in a long time.
