I actually didn't see Bf5+ right away, only after I played Qxf8+ I saw it.
But the position felt good, and I figured that the black king was a bit more exposed than the white king. Also, the excitement to let the 2nd black queen stay on the board was very tempting.
I vaguely remember that in a Karpov-Korchnoi game there were 3 queens and a rook and some more pieces and pawns on the board : draw !
Queen sacrifices can be very tempting for me :)
