Can we please get more tournaments with longer time period?

If you want rapid games then you can vote for the time control. You will find 'Vote here' (in blue) at the starting of the team

Voting is a good idea, but just putting on a few regular ten minute tourneys would be much better.
Yes I agree. One needs more time to analyze the different starting position.
More time is required. Look what happened to these chess960 tourneys happening at the same time:

Lichess official hourly chess960 arena 3+0 time control 0 players (2 players paused) lichess.org/tournament/wDlrMUOS
Unofficial chess960 arena 5+20 time control 6 players (1 player paused after playing a game) lichess.org/tournament/X6WqUkQc

7 players is not much. But they preferred to play the unofficial tourney over readily available hourly tourney. I don't think this is one off case. Chess960 players need more time. I wish official chess960 gives more time realizing this.
I second that, slower time control are much better for improvment, and currently we only see 1+0 or 3+0. I've seen a 3+2 but that still very fast for positional play.
I'm glad you added 10+2 as a possibility, I think that's a good time control - I don't like 10+0 because I hate zero increment. 2 seconds isn't a big increment but it's enough to avoid the main situation I don't like about 10+0, i.e. where the end of a game is simply a flagging race. If you consider that games on the whole are around 60 moves then think of it being about 12 minutes each. And games can sometimes end sooner because dead draws are usually agreed as both players know they don't simply play on to try to flag.

5+20 someone mentioned: I actually like small start with more increment in standard chess. In 960 you need more time in the earlier moves though?
