Best opening for black???

I have a ELO of 1650, and I want to know what is the best opening for black, in respect to king's pawn and queen's pawn.
1. e4
There are a couple responses that are all good to chose from. In my repertoire I have a sharp one (for when I need to win and take risk) and a solid one (for when I need to play my main stuff).

Solid: 1. e4 e5 (King pawn opening)
Sharp: 1. e4 c5 (The Sicilian)

There are also others like the Caro Kann (Solid) or the Sharper French. All are good openings and I would recommend play all until you get a feel for what you like best.
I would like to avoid analysis as much I could, are their some exchange variations for black???
I heard that French is the best, how much true it is???
click on Tools -> Analysis board -> Opening explorer ( little book below moves table ) . There you have answers.
OK I am going for french, even there king's pawn is mentioned. Nobody goes 17 moves deep to think.
There really isn't a 'best'. They all have strong points and weaknesses. You need to learn those.
The French is decent though I don't personally believe in it many people do. In my honest opinion as black you should have a sharp opening and a solid opening choice to both e4 and d4. But when you start out playing I recommend play the solid one. Then once you get it down play a sharp one as well.
