That's really depressing. Why was it removed?
It was one of the unique features of lichess. I don't understand why it's removed. I know, it wasn't much popular or perfect in any way, but still, it was kinda cool and maybe just needed some improvement instead of removing. Because there isn't anything like it as far as I know on the entire internet. :(
It is very disappointing that they removed the opening trainer. It was unique and one of the things I like about Lichess. I really didn't look at it as a opening trainer. I used it more for practicing choosing the best candidate moves in an opening. I don't understand why they decided to remove it completely.
Lichess is a great site and the differences made it greater. I really worry Lichess may try and become like the other sites.
Please bring back this feature!

Sorry, I meant the opening repertoire trainer which would have allowed you to input your own favourite opening and train it by repetition etc. That feature is not planned to be implemented at the moment.

many features have change in a bad way the last days and weeks. Why removing the opening trainer ? Nobody understands that. The trainig, too has changed in a very bad way. Short time ago, everything was well at lichess. I even would have paid for it. To me this is a kind of self destruction. I dont want to say farewell, but if it keeps going on like that, I will move to another chess site.

There are enough sites where I can play chess at but the reason I come to Lichess is because of features like Opening Trainer. It is not any one feature but the entirety.
This is a really bad sign to just take away a feature. I know people may not have used it that much but it doesn't make sense to remove it. What I find odd is they leave the Coordinates Training app which really is a lot less useful than the Opening Trainer. I don't get it.
It feels like Lichess will become just like all the other chess sites and continue to try and compete with them. Features that made it original will be removed and replaced with the same things I can find on the others.
