Can anyone tell why in this ru.lichess.org/training/61004 puzzle black queen suicides when he can just go away/close?
Maybe losing a bishop on d6 for nothing is worse than getting to pieces for the queen.
In addition to that, I think the knight on d6 would be worth much more than 3 points. He'd be a real thorn in black's camp.
getting to pieces? He'd just lose horse and castling
He is saying that if black doesn't take the knight, he loses the bishop and the d6 square. While if he takes, he simply trades the queen for two minor pieces.
The argument is whether the bishop and the loss of d6 is worse than losing the queen for two minor pieces.
