Manual analysis

Hi everyone,
I often analyse my games and i noticed that on lichess you can't (or it's really well hidden ;-) ) create manual analysis variations without quitting the game. I think it would be possible to improve the analysis by proposing to create new variations and to introduce some comments.
I created this topic to see if i'm not the only one thinking that, so if you agree, or if you have other suggestion on the same topic, answer me.
I would like the feature "examine", like in ICC and FICS, where you input the moves of a new game manually, e.g. to show to an online friend a game you played over the board. Is it there?
I am coming back to this after one year. I don't think the paste function does this exactly, unless you import a game with the first move only and show it from there. But in a true "examine mode" you should be able to start the game from the beginning. Also I would like to ask, in paste mode, does the spectator see the moves (and the takebacks) you make in real time? If yes, then it is really close to what I would like.
Using FICS's examine mode, which I suggest implementing, it is possible for a trainer to use this real time chessboard to give lessons to his students, with only an audio connection required separately. There are thousands of lessons delivered through video chat every day, while a video of the chessboard is not really required.
